Poteet, Tx

Last weekend my boyfriend Richard and I had the opportunity to play a part in a music video for our friends from the band Ready Revolution. We traveled to Poteet Texas and spent the weekend experiencing what it's like to be actors! Well, we didn't actually have lines to remember but I still felt the pressure. It's weird when you actually pay attention to things like walking in a straight line or getting out of a car. I don't know how movie stars do it with such ease!

If you can't tell from my makeup, I played the part of a troubled young girl with an addiction to mischief and drugs. Richard was supposed to be the reserved mechanic that I pull into my downward spiral. Long story short he overdoses and I can't take living without him so I end up shooting myself. Morbid I know! All for the sake of art.

The video should be out sometime in February and the band is renting out a room at the Bijou theater for the premier. When I agreed to be apart of this insanely awesome project I didn't know it was going to be such a production but part of my new year resolution was to step out of my comfort zone and that I did. The crew from Four Sandy Feet was so fun to work with! They made everyone feel at ease and by the end of the first day we were all hugging. I think it's really important to say yes to opportunities that come your way even if you don't think you are right for the position or don't think you'll be good enough. This whole experience made me that much more of a confident person and for that I'm thankful.

I also made a video diary for your viewing pleasure.
