Current Fall/Winter Beauty Favorites

It can be a bittersweet feeling as the colder months start rolling in. Holidays are happening, layering cute clothes is appropriate and hot chocolate plus onesies are a weekly occurrence but skin can be a tricky thing to keep under control. I really wanted to try some well renowned products that I thought would help my skin look the best it could throughout the fall and winter.

Using a primer under makeup has been a new discovery for me and I can't believe I was missing this step for so long. It's the first step you should take after washing and moisturizing your face. The Porefessional primer is probably one of the best primers out there. Velvet is the only word to describe the feeling of the product on your skin. It doesn't seem to clog pores or cause breakouts either which is great.

The Bobbi Brown foundation in Warm Ivory is pretty much the perfect shade for me at the moment. The foundation is light to medium coverage but the more you apply the more coverage you get. It has a matte to natural finish and absolutely no pink undertones which I love.

After using the NARS Creamy Concealer in the color Vanilla I can really tell the difference between drugstore and higher end concealing products. It works so well and makes the tiredest eyes look so rejuvenated! You only need to use a small bit under your eyes and on any blemishes you may have.

I'm familiar with the Urban Decay Naked palettes 2 & 3 but the Urban Decay Basics is where it's at! I've never been too fond of all of the shimmer in the Naked 1-3 palettes and would find myself using the matte shades more than anything. For about half the price you can now have the cream of the Urban Decay crop.

  1. It definitely is bittersweet when the colder months come by....I love Benefit Porefessional, it disguises my pores so well and love how it has a velvety texture!
