October Ipsy Glam Bag

Last month I made a YouTube video revealing what was in my September Ipsy glam bag and as awesome as that was I didn't get to actually try the products before talking about them. Well, I've tried this months and boy oh boy was October a treat!
Rogue by Rihanna smells dark and mysterious but somehow conservative at the same time. The perfume has a vanilla musk scent with some sort of citrus fruity note that lingers on the skin after a few minutes of wearing. It's so perfect for fall because of how velvety and warm it is.
StarLooks lip gloss in the color Guilty Pleasure on me looks like my lip but better. I've never been a fan of glosses because they tend to feel a bit heavy and sticky on the lips but Starlooks, I'm impressed! After wearing this gloss for awhile it soaks in and gives the effect of a buttery gloss.
Can I just take a minute to shine a spotlight on this Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser? I have been going through a transition with my skin lately and may have found a holy grail item. Okay, it's probably too early to say for sure but I LOVE this cleanser. It's half gone in the photo because I've been using it every morning. Upon turning 24 my acne prone skin has mostly shed and now I'm focusing on using less harsh formulas that strip moisture and using products that give back moisture and leave me dewy. Oh and this cleanser smells like wild flowers. Could it get any better? I will be purchasing a full size bottle asap.
So just recently I've started using primers before applying my foundation. Don't ask me why! I can't believe I had been missing out for so long. Lets just be glad I've hopped on the priming bandwagon. I wasn't that impressed with the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. It's a good primer but my heart belongs to Benefit's POREfessional and I  haven't come across anything better. The consistency and color are very similar but I notice the Smashbox primers sort of coagulate and makes the application of the foundation look lumpy. I'll pass on this one!
Who would have though I could have been into a green/blue eye shadow? I usually stick to the warmer eyeshadow palettes but every now and then I'll feel mermaidesque and want some green and blue in my life. MICA Beauty Cosmetics in the color Harliquin is beautiful. It's not super pigmented so it's easily build able. Personally I'm not crazy about loose powders because of the mess but I can look past that for quality.

In the spirit of Halloween watch me throw a knife at my boyfriend's head!

  1. What a great selection! That's one serious bag of treats. The brightening cleanser looks especially good and I'm looking forward to smelling that fragrance now.
